Samuel Hall sous la neige

10976_chillon_neige2.jpg

J’suis parti à 15 heures trente
J’étais fatigué j’avais mal
Tu es fatigué c’est tout
Dit-elle

Avale me disais-je
Allez avale

  • Beautiful shot, but where was it taken?

Hey, don't hate me for writing in English: it's a lonely life being Bashung's biggest Scottish fan and it would take years for me to try writing this in French...

anyway, I was in Paris last week, and paid my respects to the man at Pere Lachaise.

Immense talent, extraordinary voice, wonderful songs...

I'm slowly getting to grips with the lyrics, and even more slowly reading the interesting Nuc/Lesprit biography...

I only regret discovering him too late to see him live...

  • Hi Stuart !

Really no idea for the picture, I just found it on internet !
It's always a pleasure to see Bashung's fan outside of France so don't worry about anything !
It's a nice gest that you've done by visiting Alain in his "last residence"

I share the same regret, I discovered him late, I seen him live only once, when he has been in Marseille ...

I hope to see you again soon here !

  • Hello everybody,

What I have to do, french or english !! It is very good to see notre cher ami Samuel Hall de retour, enfin de retour.
Super beau cliché qui dépeint bien l'ambiance Hall que tu as su nous dévoiler au fil du temps. Ca f'sait longtemps, et ça fait du bien !!!
    Continue comme ça...

Hope you're ok my dear Etienne in the friy's country !!!!

  • Thank you for your kind welcome!

I'd like to ask a million questions about Bashung and French music in general but I don't know if this is the right place, should I try the forum or another board?

Having discovered Manset and Louise attaque through Bashung's music, it would be interesting to know some other artists/music that's worth hearing - before AB, all I really knew was Gainsbourg, Hardy and Brel!

    cheers, Stuart

  • Dear Stuart,

Here, this is the right place to ask your milion question you have regarding Bashung. It will be a pleasure for us to answer to your request about Bashung and more, if more you have !!!
By looking through ur website, you can already find a lot of information pictures, and videos about our King !!! Some of them (pictures and videos) are home made !!!!

I hope you will have a good time by starting to visit us, and hope to see you soon as well !!!!

    Be welcome !!!!!!

    ...And welcom Mr Stuart !
Just for you: En Ecosse des gosses écossent
Des chimères en chair et en os
    D'accortes soubrettes les escortent

    En Ecosse des gosses précoces
    Chopent des crampes
    À faire l'amour à tue-tête
    À bâtons rompus

    Que n'ai-je appris la luge
    Que n'ai-je appris à skier

Après (after) France, Schwitzerland, Chili, USA, Québec, voici maintenant (now) l'Ecosse (Scottland) qui rejoint le plus international des sites à la gloire de Bashung.

Sorry for my very minable english !!!
